1. Harry Potter  Harry's fourth year at Hogwarts is hosting 'The Triwizard Tournament' which is a magical tournament between three well-known schools of magic include Hogwarts. The contestants have to be above the age of 17, and are chosen by a magical object called Goblet of Fire. Even Harry is just 14, the Goblet spews out Harry's name with other three people. At the end, Harry being selected as the Champion of the tournament. The story about the tournament was the best part of the book from the whole series of the Harry Potter and I really enjonyed it. 2. The Da Vinci Code    The curator of the Louvre Museum in Paris is murdered with a number of mysterious clues, codes.  Robert Langdon who is the famous symbologist at Harvard, asked for help to solve the mysterious clues code and started to investige the murder with French cryptologist, Sophie Neveu. Langdon and Neveu get on a high-paced, dangerous adventure to discover the dead curator’s prior involvement in a secret society known as the Priory of Sion. When I was reading it, it was fresh impact of the religion. As I am a christian since I was very young and this book express the idea of christian religion in other way. (Da Vinci Code)

 

3. Angel and Demon A scientist is murdered at CERN in Switzerland. The dead scientist Leonardo Vetra has the word Illuminati burned onto his chest, and the killer has stolen a sample of Leonardo's latest discovery, which is highly explosive substance.  Robert Langdon recognizes the word Illuminati written and travel to Rome to find the murderer and the antimatter. This is Dan Brown's second book after the Da Vinci Code. I liked the Da Vinci Code a lot and but this book was even better. It was easier to understand and ending was more likely happy ending and I really enjoyed it. (Angels & Demons)

4. Narnia (The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe) It is set during World War II, at the time when London was being bombed by Nazi Germany. The story starts with one of the children who wanted to know if there was a way out of the back of the wardrobe. The story of a world under siege by the powers of darkness, only it is not Hitler who leads the attack but the White Witch. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe marked a return to a familiar Lewis theme. When I was reading it I mostly liked it however, it was boring at the some part of it. it was not 100% satisfied reading but the story is well organised it and I enjoyed it at the end. (Narnia)

5. Perfume In eighteenth-century the slum in France, the infant Jean-Baptiste Grenouille is born with an absolute sense of smell. As a boy, he lives to decipher the odors of Paris, and apprentices himself to a prominent perfumer. He becomes obsessed with capturing the smells of objects.  Then one day he catches a hint of a scent that will drive him on an ever-more-terrifying quest to create the "ultimate perfume that hauntingly powerful tale of murder and sensual depravity. This novel is one of the books I found hard to understand. The novel is not based on happy mood can be bored for first time but when I was reading it for twice It was really interesting story.(Perfume)

6. Sherlock Holmes In London, Sherlock Holmes and his partner Dr. John Watson captures the follower of black magic and serial killer
Lord Blackwood has killed five women and near to kill his sixth victim. Watson attests his death. However, Blackwood mysteriously returns from the afterlife and Inspector Lestrade summons Sherlock Holmes to help the Scotland Yard in the investigation. Meanwhile Dr. Watson intends to get married of the gorgeous Mary Morstan while Sherlock is visited by his former lover Irene Adler that has a secret agenda. this book is the best book I ever read. I never get bored with the story and I really enjoyed the movie too.

7. Twilight (New Moon) In New Moon, Bella is 18 and making her desire to be a vampire for her boyfriend Edward. After her birthday party, Edward and his family suddenly leave Forks. The only thing able to bring Bella back from her depression is her best friend, sunny Jacob Black. She begins to spend most of her time with him. Still, even with her vampires gone, Bella can't avoid the paranormal.
For the first series, I watched movie first and It was good enough to lead me read the second series of the book. I was not use to enjoy the vampire story and this book was a first time to enjoy the vampire book and also movie as well. (Twilight)

8. The Lord of the Rings (Into Mordor) Frodo and Sam capture Gollum and convince him to show them the way to Mordor. However, he betrays them and leads them instead into a cave occupied by a giant deadly spider called Shelob. Shelob attacks Frodo and injects him with her venom, which leaves him paralyzed.Sam finds Frodo's body and mistaking him for dead, takes the Ring so he can finish the quest himself. Before he can dispose of Frodo’s body, a group of orcs come across it and recognize it as merely paralyzed. They return it to their base in Mordor. Cursing his stupidity Sam sets out after them. He rescues Frodo and they make their way across Mordor to Mount Doom together. Meanwhile, the armies of Middle Earth join forces. In a final desperate attempt to divert Sauron's attention from Sauron, they gather at the Black Gate of Mordor to engage in a final and fierce battle with Sauron’s army. Frodo and Sam make it to the fires of Mount Doom but Frodo's resolve fails him at the last moment and he decides to keep the Ring for himself. Gollum appears and fights him for it.  9. Sex and the City  Mr. Big and Carrie buy a  penthouse in Manhattan and decide to get married. Enid Frick invites Carrie to take pictures for a special edition of Vogue about marriage of women of forty eight years. During the preparation, Carrie raises the guest list from seventy-five to two hundred guests while Mr. Big is intimidating  in his third wedding. On the wedding day, Mr. Big calls off the wedding leaving Carrie in the church. I never missed to watch the fiction since at the very begining of the story. I used to enjoy to watch the drama version but the Movie was even better. While I watched the movie, I felt like I am in New York and wanted to go sometimes. 10. Tomorrow, when the War began  Based on the first of seven books by acclaimed Australian author, John Marsden, Tomorrow When The War Began is the story of seven teenagers who return from a week-long camping trip to find that Australia has been invaded by a foreign power. it is a terrifying situation where they must sometimes use little more than a knife or a belt to murder a soldier. It's a graphic tale of the violence, the blood, the fear, and the insanity of war.These kids are underdogs, they're not going to win the war, they're more likely to end up dead in a ditch than send the enemy retreating, but it's their land, their parents and friends in prison camps. Hi Guys,

This is my first dealings with Fan Fiction. So I decided to start with my favourite authors to see what was out there.

1. Laurell K Hamilton

For this author, I found an extensive website that consists of fan fiction, character profiles, book reviews, fan art links and a bibliography of Hamilton's novels. Although this site only covers the novels and characters from one of Hamilton's series of books.

The fanfiction on this site ranged through the different characters, but most of them stay true to Hamilton's original story line. After reading a few of the entries, I realised that most of the fanfic authors struggled to capture the real essence of Hamilton's writing style. Despite this the entries were still a good read and it was interesting to see what other people think of the characters in Hamilton's novels.

2. Tamora Pierce

This fanfiction website was very well developed. With a tally being kept of how many members, stories, authors and reviews made on the website. As with the previous fanfic website, this one focused mainly around one particular set of novels. The site was easy to use with a large range of fanfic.

The quality of the fanfic varied. And I admit I did not agree with the ideas some had for one particular character, but it was interesting to see where other reader's thoughts led them.

What I also liked about this website was that you could search for stories that were written about certain characters if you wished. From this I was able to see that there were quite a few similar plot lines favoured by most of the fanfic authors.

3. Mercedes Lackey

Interestingly, I found out that this was the only fanfiction website Lackey has allowed. Fanfiction can only be published on this site, and signing up applications have to be posted to Lackey. The site also consisted of role playing persona's as well as lots of other features.

The fanfiction was interesting, as many authors made up new characters to add along side the original characters, rather than writing new stories about the original characters. The level of writing was high. As all the work posted is edited and looked over by Lackey.

After looking through my favourite author's fanfiction, I then moved on to tv series.

4. House

I liked this website as it was well maintained with an extensive search feature to track down a specific story line or character.

I found the fanfic authors varied greatly here. Some wrote stories that read more like a screen play, while others were a full blown short story, including giving background information about the characters and their surroundings. The writing standard is high with these stories. And except for the character's names and the setting, they could almost be original stories.

5. Dark Angel

For this tv series there were a lot of fanfiction sites to choose from. I believe this is because the show only ran for two seasons and left lots of things unsaid and unfinished.

I liked this site, as the main fanfiction author, Valjean, has written his stories from the perspective of Alec, rather than the main character Max. After reading a few of his stories I had to force myself to stop. The plot flowed well, and the portrayal of Alec, I believed was very real and truthful to the original tv series.

Valjean also had links to several other websites that he writes fanfiction for, mostly other tv programs. I believe this is a common feature of fanfiction writers to write fanfiction for more than one topic/genre.

5. Charmed

This website contained fanfiction, among other things on the popular tv series, Charmed. This was another tv series were I was able to find several fanfiction websites for. I liked this website the best as it was easy to use, had photos and colours which made it more interesting to use, and the quality of the stories was interesting. It may not have had as large a range of stories as other websites, but the stories were intriguing and had different plot lines to other fanfiction stories. The standard of writing varied, and so I found some stories more enjoyable than others.  

6. Roswell

This was another fan website which was interesting to look at and contained additional features, like a time line of events.

The fan fiction in this web site is solely written by the Roswell Oracle. They have written extensively, with several different plot lines, with multiple chapters. The stories are a quick read, with more attention to dialogue than to description. Despite this the stories are interesting as they continue on were the tv show left off. The author also and focused on more than one character, and switched point of view adequately. This showed depth and understanding of the characters, as well as showing what the author thought the characters  motivation was.

7. Bones

I found this site interesting as the authors and plot lines varied greatly. It was fun to read through different points of views as well as seeing what other people interpreted the character's motivation as. 
I found one story involving Lance Sweets. The story was about him but contained nothing related to the rest of the characters on the Bones tv series. But bearing in mind, the story has only just started.  Most of the stories on the website were short, or had only just been started.
The writing standard for the stories I read was high, with developed characters, good plot lines and a flowing writing style.

I then decided to have a look at some fanficion about movies.

8. 13 Ghosts.

I enjoyed this fanfiction, as the setting was exactly the same as in the movie, although the character and plot line was different. Having the setting the same as the movie made it easier to place the characters and made it easier to picture what the glass house looked like, as the author didn't spend a lot of time on description.  I believe the author could have done a lot more with the story, more description, and there were holes in the plot line and sequence of events. As well as developing the characters more. Overall though, it was an interesting piece and I was encouraged to read more than just the first chapter.

9. Inglourious Bastards

This website contained links to several different fanfic authors. The actual website is more of a fan site where more than just story links get posted but I found that added to the stories to have the odd picture and comment from the other authors. 
Some of the stories I read were a little confusing as they depended on the reader remembering who each character was, with the unusual German names. The author's writing was good though, and I still found the stories interesting even if I couldn't picture the characters very clearly. 
The writing standard was high. With the author's having written frequently and probably having written other fanfiction as well.

10. Princess Dairies

I found the stories written here interesting, as they were written from the grandmother, the Queen of Genovia. It was a change to read the story from her point of view with the hard decisions she had to make. They were short pieces but added depth to the grandmother's character that was missing in the movies. It was interesting to see how things would have played out if her romance with the body guard and started and continued earlier. 
The fanfiction author also changed some of the events that happened but this didn't detract from the stories. The writing standard was average, with the stories being a bit cliche to the romance genre.

Katie's 10 Fanfic Links

I tried to find the movies that have twisted endings and somehow I expected many fan fictions from fanfiction.net. However, only a few fan fictions were posted. Now I think the reason that fans can’t make new story might be obvious. The ending has been already twisted and unexpected in the original.


1. The Sixth sense

The fanfic writer criticised how Malcome never know he was dead during all movie and created the interesting fill-in the blank scene. This story is about the odd conversation when Lynn Sear and Malcome Crowe are in the room together before Cole returns from school. From this story the fanfic writer gave us some clues as writing “Can you respond to what I say like you can hear me?” and “she had never made eye contact”. It is the narrative style, and there are no changes in characters, setting, and plot, but added 1 more scene to give the hint that Malcome is a ghost.




2. The ring

It is like the parody of ‘The Ring’ for the advertisement.
To summary this story, after I watched the unknown video tape, I got the phone call and it said “seven days...”. Later a girl with long black hair covering her face climbed out from TV and said “you didn’t take advantage of our Seven Day Sale”.
The story is simple and a little bit silly, but at least the writer created the new story based on the original story.




3. The descent

In this story, the writer created the relationship between Juno and Sarah as the lesbians during University years, and then the story skipped to present time. The writer mentioned about the attack in the cave and two people in the hospital, and finally Juno and Sarah could start as a couple again in the end as the title of “A good start” implied.
For inserting the different history in the beginning, the whole story line could be changed. It is called ‘Alternative Universe Fiction’.




4. Identity

The writer borrowed the setting which seven people are in at a motel from original movie, but new seven characters were created by the writer. Also, the reason why (or how) seven people could be in at a motel was explained. I guess this is the start of the story, and the writer is going to create the more interesting situation(I mean ‘plot’) with new characters.






5. Seven

The title for this is “the Birth of Se7en”, and it is noted that this is from directly from John Doe’s manuscripts and diaries. First of all, I have no idea who John Doe is. So I searched him through the internet and I found out that he is the main character of the American television series during 2002-2003.
I think this is the type of the crossover. As writing John Doe was born to be a cleaner, not a sinner, and he would punish against 7 sins, the writer mingled the story from “Seven” and the character from “John Doe”.


6. The others

This story continues the end of the original movie subsequently. After they-mother and 2children- found out that they are the ghosts; Grace(mother) made a mind not to leave that house… ever… I think that the writer did not have the brilliant ideas for this story and just tried to create the after-story.






7. Ocean's eleven

As the writer said, this story was inspired by a scene in DIY sheep’s “the contract”, an excellent House MD. Story and the writer just gave it an Ocean’s eleven. Danny and Rusty were still in new fan fiction as the main characters but the story was not about the brilliant stealing story. Actually I prefer the original story because it seems to be right with eleven people in the movie of ‘Ocean’s eleven’.



8. Scream

‘Sidney died’… it is the title, and obviously Sidney died in the ending.
I assumed that this story is the following story of the original because it started from kitchen when Sidney got back from WORK, not school. Furthermore, ghostface said, “tonight you’re going to die and no one else will have to follow Billy and Stu’s footsteps to kill you.” Most of all, the one thing I liked this story is that ghostface revealed his identity to Sidney before she was killed but she didn’t say who it was, and this made me imagined who ghostface might be. Anyway, in the story Sidney was dead by falling from window. We shouldn’t expect more series  of  “Scream” fan fiction.

9. Italian job

Lyles was not the main character and just a computer genius in the original movie, but he was arrested in a new fan fiction. I am not sure that the writer will make the story about Lyles continuously or let ‘Charlie(the original main character)’ rescue him. This fan fiction is the chapter 1, so everything might be possible to be happened.

10. Signs

The writer made the point of view from the alien, so the alien is the 1st person in this fan fiction. The Original story was about the mysterious circles in the cornfield, and in the fanfic the alien started to explain what happened at night.

Chan Ki's 10 fanfiction

 1. The lord of the rings - The fellowship of the ring is directed by Peter Jackson. This was originally written as a book by J.R.R. Tolkien. The lord of the rings has achieved 4 Oscars awards in 2001. This film tells us story about ancient ring that was found, it is about the journey of a small hobbies named Frodo's and his experiences. During his journey he is joined by Gandalf, Legolas, Gimli, Aragorn and his three hobbit friends in his journey to the mountain called Mount Doom in order to destroy it. The movie also has 3 other sequels. Frodo experiences many emotions as well as wars and encounters creatures that he has never seen.

2. Terminator - This film was directed by James Cameron he is also the writer of the story line. Terminator was first released in the 1984s. Two men sent from the future in order to for fill their mission. The that the terminator got was to kill every women named Sarah Connor who would be the mother to a boy that will grow to become the leader of the human race fighting against the machines in the unpleasant future but when he attempts to kill the last Sarah Connor he is stopped by the other man Kyle Reese. Reese volunteered to follow the Terminator back in time to protect Sarah by using an time transportation device, this wa to be destroyed by the human resistance to prevent future terminators from going back in time. I think this movie is a classic show of good versus evil and Arnold gives great impression of a robotic terminator with no non human characteristic.

3. Toy story - Toy Story is a cartoon movie that was directed by John Lasseter and released in 1995. This movie tells a exciting story of a boy called Andy's toys. Woody is a cowboy doll that believes that he Andy's favourite but Andy's mother gives him an action figure know as Buzz Lightyear who does not believe he is a toy but real. Buzz becomes Andy's favourite toy and woody become jealous of him. Then both of them become lost they must somehow find a way to get back to Andy. This is a funny and clever story and the third sequel came out this year.

4. The Grudge - The Grudge was directed and wrote by Takashi Shimizu and it was released on 2003. The story starts at a haunted house. Kayako a women was murdered in the house as well as her son Toshiro by her husband. An evil cursed spirits seem to stay at the huse where t horrific murder of a woman and child took place. Anyone who sets foot inside the house becoms marked for a terrifying haunting which will not stop. I thought this movie was the scariest movie i had ever seen.

5. Shrek - Andrew Adamson and Vicky Jenson are the director of this animation movie, this movie was  released on 2001. Shrek is a big ogre who lives alone in the woods and is feared by the towns people. When Lord Farquaad banns all fairy - tale creatures to the Shrek's wood he suddenly loses his peaceful life so he meets Lord Farquaad and convices him to take them back where they belong. Lord Farquaad accepts, under one condition. Shrek must find the beautiful princess Fiona who will become Lord Farquaad's bride. Shrek leaves the town to begin his quest to save and bring to princess Fiona back toLord Farquaad. This movie has joined all the bed time stories and the fairy tale stories that we have heard when we were young.

6. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone - Director of this movie is Chris Columbus and it was released in 2001. This movie is the first film in the Harry Potter series based on the novels written by J.K. Rowling. It is the story of an ordinary boy serving as a sort of slave for this uncaring uncle and aunt who learns that he is actually a wizard and has been invited to Hogwarts School of wizardry. Harry makes friends easily at his new school. However he soon finds that the wizard world is far more dangerous for him than he would imagine also he quickly learns that not all wizards are to be trusted. "Two and a half hours is not long to find and experience a new world of magic and imagination".

7. Enemy at the gates - Director of this movie is Jacque Annaud and it was released in 2001. This movie is about the story of two sniper during the battle of Stalingrad during WW2, a Russian and a German sniper are in a battle of who is the better marksma while the Russian is boosted to the status of hero by a political official. The Russian sniper Vassili Zaitsev stalks the German officers, taking them out one by one. The political officer Danilov keeps publishing his achievements in order to give his countrymen some hope. He and Danilov fall in love with the same girl Tanya, a female soldier. I think this movie is an amazing show of skill and imagination.

8. Gladiator - Maximus man who loved by the people and the Emperor named Marcus Aurelius. Maximus was a powerful Roman general but before Marcus's death he wants Maximus to be inheritor over his son, Commodus and he murders Maximus family. After that Maximus get captured and into the gladiator games which will ends until his death. This is the only last chance to raise the top so that he can revenge Commodus. I think this film was magnificient and great atmospheric building and the director isable to show Roman Empire.

9. Batman Begins - As a boy young Bruce Wayne watched in horror as his millionaire parents were murdered in front of his eyes, a trauma that led him to become crazed with revenge but his chance is unluckily taken away from him by fate. The discovery of a cave under his mansion and a prototype armored suit leads him to become a new person, he becomes a symbol that strikes fear into the hearts of men who do wrong, this is how he become Batman. When I saw this movie I felt it was the best ever.

10. Spider-Man - This movie is based on a Marvel Comic superhero character, this is a story of Peter Parkerwho is a nerdy high school student. One day while visiting a laboratory a radioactive spider that has gotten out bites him, therefore changing his life that no one could have imagined. A millionaire Norman Osborn administers a performance enhancing drug on himself due to minimal support an funding of his research, this creates a maniacal alter ego the Green Goblin. Now Peter Parker has to become Spider - man in order to stop the green goblin. The storyline is well written and it keeps you entertained for the entire duration of movie with explosive and thrilling action.

Wei's 10 Fanfiction

My ten fanfics are all about my favourite Japanese anime . 

Dararara!!
              

   The story happens in  Ikebukuro ,a heroine who ride a horse( black motorcycle) around the city,and looking for her missing head.People name her as "The Black Biker"or "The Headless Rider". However, the story line does not just around her.they're more focusing on a group of people who seem ordinariness,but actually, they're all have their own unusual stories. No matter their life experience is positive or negative ,they still alive .The narrative makes all of the characters equally, underlying how their lives intersect, creating a greater plot line  to lead each character involves into a common incident.It has original light novels which written by Ryohgo Narita, a talent writer. When I first met this anime, I wasn't so impressed, because It's not so appealing ,and not easy to understand what is going on there.But when the story goes deeper, it catches my eyes. Not only excellent images,soundtrack ,special effect but also the humorous verbal expression .Anyway,I recommend it.

     Kimi ni Todoke

 A really pure first love story. Sawako is a high school student who often be called Sadako by her classmates ,a person who can see ghosts and curse people.Owing to her unnatural facial expression,people often misunderstand what she try to convey .She feels so sad and hopeless when others tend to keep away from her. Even though she is eager to make friends with others.Nevertheless, she meets her idol, a popular boy Kazehaya,who goes well with everybody and always smiling on his face. the gentle boy starts talking with her,and encourage her to communicate with surrounding person.From that on,Her life has changed.Everything seems new to her, this naive girl is on the journey of  becoming mature. Undoubtedly , they 're falling in love with each other. But at that time ,they don't say anything which might turn over their friendship. I think most people have similar love story like this, anyhow it reminds me my early days, and I wanna start over again.

The Twelve Kingdoms

The twelve kingdoms is series of light novels which written by Fuyumi Ono. But the anime doesn’t tell the whole pieces of original work. It just takes out a small part. The plot begins with Yoko, a unhappy and timid girl, who always lives on what others told her to do. One day , a strange handsome man who has a long golden hair and grey face, suddenly appears in front of her,and takes her into a new universe “The twelve kingdoms”. In that new world ,she experience betraying by friends, escaping from murdering , joining the civil war and going through a long way to become a  successful Queen. Although I watched this anime several years ago, but the incredibly spectacle background history  

 fairly  broaden my horizons. It’s a good taste for those people who like adventure and myths.

Natsume's Book of Friends

Takashi Natsume ,an orphan , has the ability to see spirits .This special talent is inherited from his grandmother Reiko.However,he keeps lonely since his parents passed away,nobody wants to close to him because of his extra capability. He has been adopted by several relatives ,finally, he moves to a small town,where he meets Madara (Nyanko sensei),a spirit who try to kill him and take over Natsume”s book of friends .However,Madara becomes Natsume’s bodyguard due to he think Natsume is an interesting human being .From that point,this kind boy has been taught how to use the book of friends .During returning the name of spirits ,he receives some past memories between monsters and his grandma. Then , he knows more about his grandma and learns how to get together with spirits . Some people say it’s a sad story ,but I feel really peaceful and quiet. 

xxxHolic

Kimihiro Watanuki has similar talent as Natsume, he often be attacked by spirits. He becomes annoyed and hopes he can get away from these weird creatures .Then,he runs into Yoko’s shop by accidentally .Yoko is a mysterious witch ,who knows everything and owns this shop for those human who have particular desires and needs.Otherwise, people can’t get into her shop with out wish. The sexy woman grants Watanuki his wish,but he has to pay the equal value as he wish.As a result , he has been asked to work in Yoko’s wish shop until he totally return the fair price..Although he deserved what he want ,his life turns into more unimaginable .I like what Yoko says frequently :Everything comes with reason ,and will lead the end. Nothing is what it seems to be. People have to pay what they get.

Kara no Kyōkai  
Shiki, a beautiful unsociable girl has two personalities. One is male who often go out at night in the raining days. Another one is female awake during the day. Shiki has supernatural ability, which can see through the inherent mortality of everything both living and non-living. Because of this, the male Shiki often go out in the midnight and kill people in pieces. Her classmate Mikiya realizes that something link between Shiki and the strange series of violent deaths. As he attempts to get closer to Shiki, he finds Shiki’s secret and try to prevent the murders. Shiki gets anger and wanna kill him. But at the last moment,she stops. After that, she falls in coma by traffic accident and lost her memory. Mikiya takes care of her until she wakes up. They become friends and the story continues. It should be classified into action and thriller movie. Keep your eyes on the screen, never miss any tiny detail. Otherwise, you will get lost. 

Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit

Balsa, a spearwoman and wandering warrior, who is known for saving lives as bodyguard and so far as she has saved seven lives. In 2029, the world is connected by a global electronic network. Human beings can easily change their body into mechanized artificial ones, except human brain.Communication between people is more efficient, everyone has usb connection behind the neck, which is able to link with any other’s neck to get the sharing information or plug to any computer systems .People often leave the artificial body alone and allow the soul surfing on the cyberspace to get involve into hot issue discussion. However,high technology is improved rapidly, crime is all so getting thorny and troublesome. Major Motoko, a cyborg officer works for Section9 (Japanese National Public Safety Commission), a department specializes in fighting with crimes that relate to technology.Motoko is an intelligent heroine, who has superhuman feats and her body is almost mechanized,except her brain and part of her spinal cord maintain organic.I have been keen on this plot for several years not just because the main character, but also the charming storyline which is absolutely out of my imagination.I’m not interested in play station game or any machine battle story, only the ghost in the shell I coldn’t release off.

Arakawa Under the Bridge

Kou is a university student who comes from a rich family and has a powerful father own a big company. One day, when he nearly drowning into the river, Nino, a mysterious girl saves his life. Kou has been taught by his father “never owe others anything”. So he has to pay her back. Nino asks him to be her boy friend, and must live under the bridge where Nino is living now. Kou is introduced to other weirdos as Nino who consider themselves as citizens in the “bridge village”. All the weirdos has some special background or experience. So… a funny and incredible life starts. At the first time, I thought this story is really weird and stupid, except extremely fun. It’s hard to imagine people would give up their sparkling life condition in the real world, and live in a poor, simple and happy way. However, when I take it deeper, it’s not just a funny comedy, but also refer to social value and beliefs. May be I think too much.
